North American Hockey League (NAHL) Officiating Programs
The NAHL Officiating Program has partnered with the USA Hockey Officiating Program to create a number of opportunities for officials based on the official's goals and availability. Briefly, these programs are:
The NAHL Officiating Program has partnered with the USA Hockey Officiating Program to create a number of opportunities for officials based on the official's goals and availability. Briefly, these programs are:
- Next Shift: A program combining officiating education, exposure, experience and mentorship for officials seeking to gain knowledge about and place themselves in a position to officiate higher levels of hockey. This program is application based and requires a time commitment on and off the ice from participants. Full program details can be found here.
- Exposure Camp: This is an opportunity for officials to attend a weekend camp providing education, exposure, and experience. This camp is application based and the number of participants are limited. Click here to review the requirements for attendance and applicationi process.
- Other Selected Events: The NAHL provides officials exposure through a variety of events hosted by various leagues under the NAHL umbrella. The best way to be considered any NAHL event (including exposure events) is to fill out the Show of Interest form on the NAHL website.
Central District Officiating Experience
With the goal of offering development, education and growth opportunities for ice hockey officials from the states of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin, the Central District Officiating Experience provides officials the chance to experience a USA Hockey camp-like atmosphere. The event takes place in Ames, Iowa June 9-14, 2024. Click here for an application.
